Home Remedies for Gastritis

Gastritis is a condition in which there is inflammation or irritation in the lining of the stomach. This is not a single disease but is the cause of a number of problems. Home remedies for gastritis do help overcoming the various symptoms of this disease.

Causes of Gastritis

  1. Aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen.
  2. Alcohol
  3. Smoking
  4. Infection of the stomach
  5. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
  6. Erosion of the stomach lining
  7. Eating or drinking caustic or corrosives in food
  8. Bile reflux
  9. Autoimmune disorders
  10. Excess secretion of gastric juice (such as from stress)
  11. Viral infection
  12. Bacteria infection
  13. Fungal infections

Symptoms of Gastritis:

  1. Hiccups
  2. Loss of appetite
  3. Abdominal bloating
  4. Abdominal pain
  5. Vomiting blood or coffee ground-like material
  6. Black, tarry stools
  7. Vomiting
  8. Indigestion
  9. Nausea
  10. Burning or gnawing feeling in the stomach

Home Remedies for Gastritis

  • Coconut water is good home remedy for gastritis. It supplies stomach the necessary relax in addition to vitamins and minerals. It helps recovering from the various symptoms of gastritis.

  • Rice gruel is well known for its healing touch in gastritis. One should take a cup of rice gruel 2 times a day to get relief.

  • Potato juice is known for its therapeutic effects in gastritis. Take half a cup of the juice, two or three times and, half an hour before dinner.

  • Marigold is considered an excellent home remedy for gastritis. Take one tsp of this herb twice a day to get best results.

Regular intake of honey is also considered an excellent home remedy for gastritis.

I have gastritis. I keep burping all the time. Please let me know how to take potato juice. you mean juice of raw potatoes? And how to use merigold? Do you mean by merigold flower or leaf of merigold? Also how and how much to use daily?

I am having gatritis from about one year and i am just pass out with student of m-pharm and got the job but i feel burning sensation when i am at the job what should i do for it. Can gastritis is completely cured let me know plz??????????
